Our gingerbread creation. You'd think building a gingerbread house would be a great family bonding activity. NOT so, this year. My kids wouldn't stop arguing over the angle that the house was turned, who had used the most candy and who's turn it was for the icing.
Jacie's new haircut, I think she looks like Dora!

More Christmas Fun

Crazy nights at the Tran house.

Christmas time!

It's Christmas time again, my absolute favorite time of the year. We came home from our Thanksgiving trip to Utah on and spent the next few days putting up all of our decorations. The kids favorite are the little trees that go in their bedrooms and decorating a gingerbread house.

Monday Night Football!

Quin has made a large effort to make sure our kids enjoy the finer things in life. For him, football is one of those things! We often have "big game parties" with the kids who have all turned into devoted Bronco fans!

Cheyenne Mountain Zoo

Mary has been staying with us for about 6 weeks now while she is doing her internship at the hospital here. The kids really like having her here and before she got too busy with homework, we went up to the zoo and the Shrine of the Sun.

Garden of the Gods

On Sunday we took a drive with grandma and gramps up to Garden of the Gods. It is so beautiful there, I can't believe it took us a year and half to visit after we moved here. I got some great pictures of the kids and we all enjoyed the great outdoors!

Devin's Baptism

Devin turned 8 at the beginning of the month and has been very anxious for Halloween to come. Not only did he get to go trick-or-treating, but it was the day of his baptism into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He was baptized by Quin and confirmed by his grandfather. Devin was all smiles as the program progressed and shared the day with his family, grandparents, the Thompsons, and our friends, the Smiths.

Halloween!

We had a great Halloween this year, the kids are still overloaded with candy after going to 2 trunk or treats. This year, Hallie was Sleeping Beauty, Jacie made an adorable Minnie Mouse and Devin was garbage(seriously). Ty pulled him around in a trash can and kicked the bottom when it was time for him to pop up, he won the 2nd grade creative costume award at school. They also got to spend Halloween day with grandma and gramps which makes any holiday more fun and at the end of the day they made a candy store with all their spoils!

Hallie's Birthday!

Hallie turned 6 on October 25th, but she's been asking me, "How many more days until my birthday?" since August. She had a Princess Pajama Party on Friday before her birthday with her best friends Emma, Autumn, and Jacie. They made build-a-bears, bracelets, crowns, and decorated cupcakes. It was a very giggly, girly night and her Aunt Mary was even there for most of the party.

Some of her favorite birthday gifts were her new Dora links doll, her purple dress with leggings, beading kit, and Pretty as a Princess game.

Broncos vs. Cowboys

Mark McNeil came up to spend the weekend and got to the Broncos game last Sunday. It was a battle to get tickets, but they finally made it into the game!

Jacie

Don't be deceived, this girl is trouble, just like her brothers!

DEVIN'S 8TH BIRTHDAY!

Devin is just like me, he loves surprises and hates to find out what he is getting beforehand! Opening presents.

Tyson and Dallin, way too cool to smile!

Another year full of mischief gone by for Devin. Here are 8 things we love about Devin!

1. Devin's never ending energy.
2. His extremely mischievous smile.
3. His innate ability to play sports.
4. His sneakiness skills-he loves to hide under the bed and always catches me off guard.
5. Devin still lets us snuggle with him on the couch.
6. His attachment to his Scooby-Doo blanket and Bruncher.
7. Devin is very quick and sharp at school.
8. Devin is very intense in his feelings and can change the atmosphere in the room in only a matter of seconds. His smile is contagious!

Happy Birthday Devin!
