Near Rapid City we stopped at Storybook Island which is a fun park where the kids could see statues of all their favorite storybook characters. We played there for awhile, but it got very hot quickly and we ended up cooling off with ice cream. Our next adventure was Bear Country USA- Quin broke all the park's rules and allowed the boys to stick their heads out of the sun roof. The ranger thought we were signaling for help when he started honking at the animals to try to get their attention. The kids all loved it and even took it upon themselves to add a few cookies to the bear's diet. Tyson caught a bear by surprise when he hit the sleeping bear with a small cookie and made it jump awake. At this point we figured we should move on from the roaming animals and had fun checking out the bear store. Jacie bought a tiny wolf and bison figurine and lost them mulitple times throughout the entire trip. On the drive back home we went through Custer State Park and were amazed by the huge bison crossing.
